Gosford City and Wyong Shire Councils have a number of rebates available to encourage residents and businesses to reduce their use of town water and start Living water smart.  Rebates are available to those connected to the town water supply.

Rainwater Tanks

The Councils’ rainwater tank rebate program changed on the 1 August 2009. Central Coast residents are able to receive additional rebates from the NSW and Australian Governments.

Gosford City and Wyong Shire Councils provide rebates for the internal connection (connection to a toilet and/or washing machine) of existing rainwater tanks. The rebate depends the way your rainwater tank is connected to your home.

Rebates for the purchase and installation of new rainwater tanks continue to be available from the Australian and NSW Governments.

Greywater rebate scheme

A rebate scheme for the installation of greywater treatment systems is available to residents connected to the town water supply.

The rebate scheme allows residents who install a greywater treatment system to their existing home and connect it to the toilet and/or washing machine to apply for a rebate of up to $1,000.
