Terms and Conditions - Water Saving Tip Competition

  1. When you enter the competition you accept these Terms and Conditions.
  2. Entry is open to all residents of Gosford City and Wyong Shire.
  3. The competition will be held each month, beginning on 27 October 2006 until further notice. The Monthly Competition Period commences:
    (a) in respect of October 2006, at 3.00pm on 27 September; and
    (b) in respect of the other calendar months during the competition period, at 12.01am on the first day of that calendar month,
    and in all cases concludes at midnight on the last day of that calendar month.
  4. You can enter the monthly competition by email or on-line: by completing and submitting the entry form on the Gosford / Wyong Councils Water Authority website – www.gwcwater.nsw.gov.au, or via email to tips@gwcwater.nsw.gov.au
  5. You may enter a Monthly Competition as many times as you wish.
  6. The Monthly Competition winners will be notified by Noon on the second working day following the conclusion of each Monthly Competition.
  7. The Judges of the Monthly Competitions are any two Council officers in each Council area.
  8. The criterion on which the entries will be judged is: 'the best water saving tip that will be of use to the general public according to the opinion of the Judges'. The Judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.
  9. The prize for each Monthly Competition is one bottle of Waterless Car wash, one prize for an entrant from each Council area.
  10. The Monthly Competition winners will be notified by telephone or e-mail.
  11. The Monthly Competition winners' names and suburb and the winning water saving tips will be published at www.gwcwater.nsw.gov.au and may be published in the Express Advocate as a part of Water News
  12. The Monthly Competition prize is not exchangeable or transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.
  13. The Promoter makes no representations or warranties as to the quality, suitability or merchantability of the Monthly Competition prize. To the extent permitted by law, the Promoter is not liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including, but not limited to, direct or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with entry into the Monthly Competition or acceptance or use of the Monthly Competition prize. This paragraph is not intended to exclude any liability, which cannot be excluded under Australian consumer protection laws. Any such liability is limited to the resupply of the prize.
  14. The Promoters of this competition are Gosford City Council of 49 Mann Street, Gosford NSW 2250, ABN 78 303 458 861 and Wyong Shire Council of 16 Hely Street, Wyong NSW 2259, ABN 47 054 613 735.
