Community based organisations including Local Government, Schools, Universities, Childcare Facilities, Sporting and Recreation Clubs.

Central Coast Water Saving Fund

The State Government introduced the water savings fund to stimulate investment in innovative water conservation and recycling technologies and practices, and improve water efficiency across all sectors. Priority projects were projects which;

• deliver immediate savings, including implementing actions identified by high water users in Water Management Plans, and/or
• recycle water or harvest stormwater.

Cost effectiveness of the project was a key criterion (calculated by funding sought divided by total project potable water savings over ten years). Applications providing matched funding were viewed favourably and were more cost effective as less funding was sought.

Who can apply?

It is open to any business, local Council, State Government agency, organisation or community group.

Round 3 is open until Wednesday 11 June 2008.
